The school seeks one dedicated SLP to serve as the primary therapist in a collaborative, supportive environment with small class sizes and a focus on individualized care. The majority of students present with autism spectrum disorder, with some having emotional and intellectual disabilities.

Ideal for those seeking full-time work for the 2026-2027 school year, including summer school in 2027. Flexible arrangements are available for part-time applicants.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois SLP license and Professional Educator License (PEL) are required.
  • Certification as an SLP-CCC.
  • Comfortable working as the sole clinician in a therapeutic day school setting.
  • Experience, interest, or training in autism, emotional, or intellectual disabilities preferred.
  • Strong independent problem-solving and communication skills.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech, language, and communication evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Deliver therapy services to a small caseload spanning PreK to age 22 in a single, focused location.
  • Collaborate with educational staff and families, providing guidance and resources as needed.
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation, meeting the required compliance standards.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to an interdisciplinary approach.
