Make a lasting impact as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting students with moderate to severe autism, working with learners from Kindergarten through age 26. This contract role offers the opportunity to grow your clinical skills while making a positive difference in students' lives in a collaborative and supportive educational environment.

You'll provide essential services onsite for 36.25 hours each week, from 8:00 AM to 3:45 PM, during the school year. Enjoy the chance to serve a diverse caseload across all grade levels and help students access their education through communication and language support.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Valid Michigan SLP credential (SLP - CFY or SLP - CCC accepted)
  • Experience with or passion for working with students with moderate to severe autism
  • Familiarity with school-based speech therapy settings
  • Strong collaborative and communication skills
  • Ability to serve K-12 students and those up to age 26
  • Must complete fingerprinting prior to starting

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language services onsite to students throughout the district
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEPs
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and families
  • Monitor student progress and document interventions and outcomes
  • Provide support, advocacy, and resources to students and staff
  • Adjust interventions based on student response and evolving needs
