Job Description
Make a lasting impact as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting students with moderate to severe autism, working with learners from Kindergarten through age 26. You'll provide essential services onsite for 36.25 hours each week, from 8:00 AM to 3:45 PM, during the school year. Enjoy the chance to serve a diverse caseload across all grade levels and help students access their education through communication and language support.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Valid Michigan SLP credential (SLP - CFY or SLP - CCC accepted)
- Experience with or passion for working with students with moderate to severe autism
- Familiarity with school-based speech therapy settings
- Strong collaborative and communication skills
- Ability to serve K-12 students and those up to age 26
- Must complete fingerprinting prior to starting
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language services onsite to students throughout the district
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEPs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and families
- Monitor student progress and document interventions and outcomes
- Provide support, advocacy, and resources to students and staff
- Adjust interventions based on student response and evolving needs
