Support a busy 300+ bed hospital and Level III trauma center in Longview, TX, as a Pharmacist on a contract basis. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a licensed Texas Pharmacist with inpatient or clinical experience to engage in a fast-paced hospital environment, contributing directly to patient care and medication management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify medication orders and ensure accuracy and safety
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians and coordinate workflow
  • Consult with physicians and nursing staff regarding medication therapy
  • Utilize pharmacokinetic principles for dosing adjustments
  • Manage medications in specialized settings including neonatal and emergency medicine

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Current pharmacist license in Texas
  • Minimum 1 year of inpatient or clinical pharmacy experience
  • Strong familiarity with EPIC electronic health records system highly preferred
  • Experience with pharmacokinetic dosing and neonatal medication is a major plus
  • Background in emergency medicine pharmacy desirable

Location:

  • Longview, TX

Schedule & Duration:

  • 13+ week contract, start ASAP
  • 4 shifts per week, 10 hours per day (day shifts); option to consider block scheduling such as 8 days on, 6 days off

Technology:

  • EPIC electronic health records
  • Pyxis automated dispensing system
