Job Description
Make a difference as a Special Education Teacher working with high school students in a comprehensive day class setting for the 2026-2027 school year. Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current Tennessee Teaching License
- 105 or 461 Endorsement required
- CDC Certification
- Experience working with high school students preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
- Passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and adapt individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Create a structured, positive classroom environment that encourages engagement and success
- Deliver direct and small-group instruction in a comprehensive day class setting
- Assess student progress, set measurable goals, and collaborate with support staff and families
- Maintain detailed records and comply with special education regulations and district protocols
- Foster social, emotional, and academic growth to help students thrive both in and out of the classroom
