Job Description

Key Qualifications/Preferred Background:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology license for the state of North Carolina
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility as a Clinical Fellow (CF) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Previous experience in K-12 school settings strongly preferred
- Expertise in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of childhood speech, language, and communication disorders
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with students, families, and education teams
- Commitment to professional ethics and student confidentiality
Core Responsibilities:
- Evaluate speech, language, cognitive-communication, and social communication skills for elementary school students
- Develop Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and provide targeted therapy sessions according to student needs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multi-disciplinary teams to support student progress and success
- Maintain thorough, compliant documentation of student services, progress, and communication
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to data-driven decisions for student support
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere where every child can thrive
This is a full-time, onsite position with a Monday through Friday schedule, located in a dynamic elementary school setting. The assignment begins as soon as possible and extends through May 2027, offering long-term stability and the unique rewards of growth-focused work with children.
