This assignment features two exciting opportunities:

• Long-term role through late May at an elementary social communications classroom.
• A 6-week maternity leave opening this fall, also in a social communications setting.

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher license/certification.
• Experience or strong interest in working with students with Autism (AU)—especially non-verbal or limited speech.
• Ability to manage classroom behaviors and implement effective communication strategies.
• Flexibility to adapt to short- and long-term assignments.

Responsibilities:

• Teach and support students (elementary level) in social communications classrooms.
• Collaborate with 2 paraprofessionals in a classroom of 6 students.
• Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and implement targeted interventions.
• Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
• Work closely with families and school teams to support student progress.
