Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting 2nd to 5th grade students across two dynamic educational sites for the full 2026-2027 academic year. In this role, you’ll split your time evenly between both locations, working as a case manager and championing a diverse caseload of 25-35 students. Your expertise will be instrumental in leading IEP meetings, designing and implementing service plans, and ensuring every student receives tailored support.
Responsibilities include providing a combination of inclusion/push-in services within classrooms and small group pullout sessions focused on reading and math. You’ll serve as a collaborative partner for fellow educators and families, advocating for your students’ needs and tracking their progress throughout the year.
To thrive in this role, candidates should offer:
- Valid Massachusetts Special Education Teaching Certification
- Experience creating, managing, and monitoring IEPs
- Confidence and skill in delivering both push-in and pullout support strategies
- Understanding of elementary (2nd-5th grade) learning needs and challenges
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with colleagues and families
Daily duties will involve:
- Managing a caseload of 25-35 students
- Conducting and facilitating IEP meetings
- Delivering individualized and small group instruction in reading and math
- Tracking data and reporting student growth and progress
- Collaborating closely with general education staff and support personnel
