Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A rewarding opportunity is available for an experienced Clinical Pharmacist to provide essential pharmacy services at a critical access hospital in Taos, NM. This role is ideal for licensed pharmacists seeking a dynamic, clinical environment with a focus on direct patient care and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders to ensure accuracy and safety
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff
- Consult with physicians and nurses to optimize medication therapy
- Oversee pharmacokinetic monitoring and dose adjustments
- Manage inpatient medication distribution and clinical pharmacy functions
Qualifications:
- Active New Mexico pharmacist license or eligibility for a temporary license
- Minimum of 2 years inpatient pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a small hospital setting serving up to 25 patients
Schedule:
- Day shifts, 3 consecutive 12-hour shifts (6:30 AM to 7:00 PM)
Location:
- Taos, NM
This is a contract position with a commitment of 13 weeks or longer. Candidates must be flexible and willing to travel or relocate for the duration of the assignment.
