Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students with speech and language needs. This position is ideal for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) who holds their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) and has a passion for working within a school environment. Beginning Monday, August 24 and wrapping up on Friday, June 11, you'll have a flexible part-time schedule—working 24 hours per week, generally from 8:35 AM to 4:00 PM, three days a week. Your caseload will focus on 12-15 students, making it possible to deliver impactful, individualized care.
Core Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current SLP-CCC credential
- Experience working in school-based or pediatric settings
- Familiarity with supporting non-verbal students using AAC devices (Augmentative and Alternative Communication)
- Skilled in collaborating with general education teachers to integrate both high-tech and low-tech supports for communication
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and treat students with speech, language, and communication needs in an elementary school setting
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on IEP goals
- Monitor progress, document outcomes, and participate in IEP meetings
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers and support staff to ensure seamless implementation of communication strategies
- Provide guidance on the use of AAC and other assistive communication technology
