Work Environment

This position is based in physician office settings in multiple locations, including DeSoto, KS; Paola, KS; Spring Hill, KS; and Lee’s Summit, MO. The environment is fairly large and fast-paced, with a high volume of daily patient visits and an increased number of physicians, which creates a strong need for additional phlebotomy support. You will work as part of a collaborative team rather than alone, and you will spend most of your shift standing and performing blood draws, typically completing 20–40 draws per day. The patient population spans all ages, with a particular focus on geriatric care. The first week of employment is dedicated to orientation and training to familiarize you with procedures, systems, and safety requirements.
