Senior Electrical Engineer - Substation
Job Description
Lead engineering and design activities for new and modified high-voltage substation projects. Responsible for developing substation design packages, engineering calculations, client interaction, proposal support, field inspections, project execution, and mentoring junior engineers. Lead projects from concept through construction.
Responsibilities- Lead engineering and design activities for high-voltage substation projects.
- Develop comprehensive substation design packages.
- Perform engineering calculations and oversee field inspections.
- Engage in client interactions and support proposals.
- Execute projects effectively from concept through construction.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers throughout project cycles.
- 7+ years of experience in substation engineering.
- Proficiency in physical substation design.
- Experience with high voltage substations and power delivery.
- Proven utility experience and client-facing skills.
- Expertise in protection and controls.
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent.
- Experience in utility consulting.
- Ability to lead design projects and manage project execution.
- Strong project leadership skills.
- Experience in proposal development.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Worth, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $75.00 - $95.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
