Job Title: Plumber Foreman – Multi-Family ConstructionJob Description

The Multi-Family Plumbing Foreman oversees all day-to-day plumbing activities on active multi-family construction sites across the DMV area. This is a working supervisor role that combines hands-on installation and troubleshooting of large-scale residential piping systems with leadership responsibilities for field crews, coordination of materials and equipment, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise plumbing crews on multi-family construction sites, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with plans and specifications.
  • Perform hands-on plumbing installation and mechanical work on large-scale residential piping systems while serving as a working foreman.
  • Coordinate daily tasks, schedules, and manpower to meet project milestones and maintain smooth workflow on active job sites.
  • Organize and oversee material delivery, ensuring all plumbing components and equipment are available on-site when needed.
  • Monitor and enforce rigorous safety compliance, promoting safe work practices and adherence to all relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with other trades and site personnel to resolve field issues and maintain alignment with overall construction timelines.
  • Use field technology, including mobile devices and tablets, to track layouts, document progress, and communicate updates.
  • Inspect completed work for quality, functionality, and compliance with project requirements, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to crew members to develop their technical skills and maintain high performance standards.
Essential Skills
  • 3 to 10 years of direct field experience specializing in multi-family residential or commercial plumbing construction.
  • Strong technical foundation in construction plumbing, including large-scale residential piping systems.
  • Hands-on mechanical skills with plumbing systems in active construction environments.
  • Proven ability to supervise and lead field crews in a working foreman capacity.
  • Experience coordinating materials, equipment, and daily activities on construction sites.
  • Solid understanding of safety regulations and the ability to enforce rigorous safety compliance.
  • Ability to read and follow construction plans, layouts, and specifications.
  • Effective communication skills for coordinating with crew members and other site personnel.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in multi-family construction projects across diverse sites.
  • Background in commercial plumbing construction environments.
  • Comfort using mobile phones, tablets, or iPads for field communications and layout tracking.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $85000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
