You’ll collaborate closely with educators and a supervising SLP to deliver therapy services tailored to each student’s needs. Empower students by helping them improve their speech and language abilities, and be an integral part of their academic and personal growth.
Qualifications & Background:
- Active SLPA license or certification as required by California regulations
- Previous experience as an SLPA within schools or healthcare settings welcomed
- Comprehensive understanding of therapeutic interventions for children and adolescents
- Comfort with collaborating as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Effective organizational and communication abilities
Core Responsibilities:
- Implement therapy plans developed by a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
- Lead individual and group speech therapy sessions in accordance with student IEPs
- Document progress and contribute to treatment planning
- Offer support and guidance to students and families regarding communication strategies
- Participate in meetings, contribute to IEP teams, and help ensure compliance with all relevant requirements
