Interim Pharmacy Operations Manager

We’re looking for a strong pharmacy leader to step into an Interim Pharmacy Operations Manager role at a 250-bed hospital in Northern California. This is a high-level opportunity for an experienced pharmacist who can take ownership of pharmacy operations and help lead the department from day one.

Position Details:

• 3–6 month interim assignment
• ASAP start
• Reports directly to the Director of Pharmacy

Responsibilities:

• Oversee clinical, financial, administrative, and pharmacy information systems operations
• Plan, organize, coordinate, and control pharmacy workflow
• Hire and train pharmacy staff
• Collaborate with the Pharmacy Management team
• Serve as a liaison with physicians and hospital personnel
• Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations
• Utilize hospital and community resources to meet operational needs
• Perform Director of Pharmacy duties in their absence

Ideal Candidate:

• Active California Pharmacist License
• Strong pharmacy leadership/management experience in California
• Hospital pharmacy experience
• Proven ability to lead pharmacy operations and staff
• Comfortable stepping into a high-level interim leadership role
