Educational Sign Language Interpreter - Gettysburg, PA

Make a meaningful impact supporting a high school student’s academic journey by working as an onsite Sign Language Interpreter for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This contract opportunity offers a chance to work 1:1 with a student, providing essential interpreting services within regular academic classes. The role is based onsite and requires a commitment of two days per week, ideally Monday and Friday, although there is some flexibility according to team and student needs.

Desired Qualifications:

• Current EIPA score of 3.5 or above (required)
• Experience providing sign language interpretation in educational or academic settings, preferably at the high school level
• Capacity to work collaboratively with students, teachers, and school staff
• Strong commitment to student privacy, professionalism, and ethical interpreting protocols
• PA onboarding status dated within one year from your anticipated start

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver 1:1 interpreting services to support full student participation in classroom activities and discussions
• Adapt interpretation approach to meet the learning needs and preferences of the student
