Maintenance Technician
Job Description
The Maintenance Technician maintains and repairs facility equipment, CNC and machining systems, and building infrastructure across multiple plants. This role supports daily production by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and ensuring that all physical operations run safely and efficiently. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with regular overtime and potential Saturday work.
Responsibilities- Maintain the organization’s physical operations, including refrigeration, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), kitchen equipment, emergency generators, plumbing, water treatment, and electrical systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on production and facility equipment in offices, production areas, and public areas according to established programs and specifications.
- Maintain and repair a wide range of machinery, including automated wash equipment, lathes, honing machines, presses, collets, hydraulic test stands, custom automated assembly units, PLCs, assembly robots, band saws, manual mills and lathes, air compressors, air dryers, material handling equipment, electrostatic filters, and hoists.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks such as coolant, oil, and filter changes; electrical inspections; calibrations; motor and pump replacements; hydraulic hose replacement; cleaning of heat exchangers; and hydraulic oil reservoir cleaning.
- Troubleshoot low-voltage electrical controls and logic controllers, identifying root causes and implementing effective repairs.
- Complete daily standard work task lists and event reports accurately and on time.
- Collaborate with appropriate staff and leaders to understand and implement maintenance needs, ensuring timely response to maintenance requests.
- Assist in maintaining appropriate spare parts inventory levels to support reliable operations.
- Assist with fire and safety inspections and correct any discrepancies to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Assist in maintaining waste disposal processes, including handling and disposal of hazardous waste such as acetone, mineral spirits, and solvents in accordance with regulations.
- Move furniture, materials, and equipment as needed to support facility operations and maintenance activities.
- Use ladders and scaffolds safely to access equipment and building systems at various heights.
- Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned to support overall facility operations.
- Hands-on maintenance experience supporting production and facility equipment.
- Proficiency with hydraulics, including hydraulic pumps and related components.
- Proficiency with pneumatics and mechanical systems used in industrial environments.
- Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics.
- Demonstrated ability in PLC troubleshooting and logic controller troubleshooting.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills, including low-voltage controls.
- Experience with CNC machinery maintenance and repair.
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance tasks such as fluid changes, filter changes, calibrations, and component swaps on production equipment.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds without assistance on a frequent basis.
- Comfort working with parts of various sizes and weights and performing repetitive shoulder, arm, and hand motions.
- Ability to safely use ladders and scaffolds in a production environment.
- Strong troubleshooting and repair skills across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Willingness to work regular overtime, including 10–15 hours per week and potential Saturday shifts.
- Background in industrial maintenance or maintenance technician roles within manufacturing or production environments.
- Experience maintaining CNC and machining equipment across multiple plants or departments.
- Familiarity with material handling equipment, air compressors, air dryers, and electrostatic filters.
- Ability to complete detailed documentation, including standard work task lists and event reports.
- Comfort collaborating closely with manufacturing engineers and cross-functional teams.
- Strong safety mindset with experience supporting fire and safety inspections and hazardous waste handling.
- Interest in ongoing training and professional development in maintenance, automation, and related disciplines.

Work EnvironmentThe role is primarily based in Plant 1 and Plant 3, where production and assembly operations take place, with additional work in Plant 2 where CNC machinery is located. The facility is very clean and organized, with a strong emphasis on safety and order. You will work around CNC machines, automated wash equipment, lathes, honing machines, presses, hydraulic test stands, custom automated assembly units, PLC-controlled systems, robots, band saws, manual mills and lathes, air compressors, air dryers, material handling equipment, electrostatic filters, and hoists. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with regular overtime of approximately 10–15 hours per week and potential Saturday work. The environment requires frequent lifting up to 50 pounds, use of ladders and scaffolds, and repetitive upper-body motion while working with parts of various sizes and weights.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
