Make a meaningful impact supporting students as an onsite Sign Language Interpreter, working directly with a high school student for the full 2026-2027 academic year. This contract position centers on offering essential communication support during regular academic programming, ensuring access and inclusion. Located near Dover, PA, this opportunity allows you to use your expertise in sign language interpretation where it truly matters.

Enjoy a part-time schedule, providing services two days per week. While the student prefers Mondays and Fridays, the school is open to flexibility in creating a schedule that works for everyone involved.

Qualifications:

  • EIPA score of 3.5 or higher is strictly required
  • Experience providing 1:1 interpreting support in an educational environment preferred
  • Ability to complete Pennsylvania onboarding within one year prior to start
  • Familiarity with high school academic settings is advantageous
  • Professionalism, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver sign language interpretation for a high school student during classroom instruction and academic activities
  • Ensure accurate, clear, and confidential communication between the student, peers, and educational staff
