Job Description
Step into a purpose-driven role supporting students’ communication and learning as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant within a welcoming school environment. In this contract opportunity, you’ll work onsite, partnering closely with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists to provide impactful speech and language services. With direct supervision and strong collaboration, you’ll help pave pathways to student success and growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Speech Communications, or related field, or an AAS degree from an SLPA program
- Active SLPA license or certification required
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills—especially when assisting students, parents, and colleagues in high-stress or emergency scenarios
- Flexibility to work and travel across multiple school buildings as needed
- Ability to provide both direct and indirect speech-language services aligned with students’ IEPs
- Onsite presence required; virtual work is not available for this position
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect speech-language interventions as outlined in each student’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP)
- Maintain clear, professional communication and daily collaboration with supervising SLP and educational staff
- Support data collection, progress monitoring, and documentation to ensure excellent care and compliance
- Foster an inclusive and nurturing learning environment for students with diverse communication needs
- Travel between school sites within the district, as needed, for service delivery
