This part-time opportunity is ideal for a dedicated professional passionate about fostering communication skills in a supportive educational environment. You’ll provide direct speech therapy services two days per week in a general education setting.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current SLP-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) from ASHA
- Active state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
- Previous experience in school settings, particularly with elementary-aged children, is highly valued
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work closely with teachers, staff, and families
- Efficient documentation and progress reporting abilities
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver engaging and effective speech-language therapy to students in elementary and general education classrooms
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and special education staff to address students’ IEP goals
- Present assessment findings and therapy approaches to colleagues, including Savannah and Jordan
- Create individualized treatment plans based on student assessments
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide regular updates to educational teams and families
- Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere that supports students’ communication growth
