This full-time, contract position runs from September 8th through June 25th, offering a fulfilling academic year supporting diverse learners near Lancaster, NY.
You’ll join a collaborative environment, working with a caseload of approximately 50 students in a primary school building. Your expertise will help foster student success, especially for those requiring AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices and children on the autism spectrum. Enjoy a consistent weekday schedule, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, allowing for work-life balance and steady routine.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid SLP-CCC credential
- Previous experience in school settings preferred
- Solid understanding of ACC devices and best practices for supporting students with autism
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
Your Day-to-Day:
- Deliver speech-language therapy to a caseload of 50 elementary students
- Complete assessments, develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Support AAC device use and train staff and students as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student outcomes
- Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state guidelines
