School LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) | Orange, New Jersey

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting a student one-on-one in a dynamic school environment near Orange, NJ. This full-time position runs from September 4th to June 25th, with a consistent Monday–Friday schedule from 8:15 AM to 3:15 PM (35 hours per week). You’ll play a vital role in promoting student health, collaborating closely with school personnel, and ensuring well-coordinated care throughout the academic year.

What you’ll bring:

• Valid NJ School Nursing license (required)
• Demonstrated experience working in school settings
• Confidence navigating the needs of the district and school community
• Willingness and ability to confidently manage a dedicated caseload and occasionally oversee health needs across the school
• Reliable transportation and a commute-friendly location
• Comfortability with one-on-one student care in a school context

Key responsibilities:

• Provide direct healthcare services to a designated student during school hours
• Engage in daily communication with teachers, parents, and school staff for comprehensive care
• Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by school and state policies
• Be prepared to respond to health emergencies and administer routine or emergency medications
• Participate in the coordination of health screenings and evaluations when applicable

All candidates will complete onboarding, including TB screening, physical, and fingerprinting for both agency and district requirements. Interviews are brief (about 15 minutes) and streamlined to help you get started quickly, should you be the right fit.
