A specialty pharmacy in Pocahontas, IA is seeking a Pharmacist for a contract assignment lasting 13+ weeks. This opportunity involves providing long-term care pharmacy services in a dynamic, patient-focused environment.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
• Some weekend shifts required

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately and efficiently, focusing on long-term care patients
• Provide patient counseling regarding medication therapies and adherence
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes
• Review and verify prescriptions, ensuring compliance with regulations and safety standards
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with pharmacy policies
• Participate in immunization administration as applicable

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Iowa Pharmacist License or Iowa Temporary License
• Experience or willingness to work in a specialty pharmacy setting preferred
• Immunization certification is preferred
• CPR certification is a plus
