Make a meaningful difference in the lives of elementary-aged students as an experienced Speech Language Pathologist in a dynamic school-based setting near Renton, WA. This contract position presents an exciting opportunity to support young learners’ communication skills and foster their academic and social success. With a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week across five days, you’ll collaborate with a dedicated educational team while providing targeted interventions to students in need.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Speech Language Pathologist licensure required
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) preferred
  • Prior experience in an elementary school setting is highly desirable
  • Strong knowledge of assessment tools, individualized program planning, and evidence-based therapy techniques
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Commitment to fostering inclusion and student growth

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and assess students’ speech and language needs using standardized and functional assessments
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in alignment with school and district guidelines
  • Provide direct therapy and consultative services to students with speech, language, and communication challenges
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to monitor progress and adjust interventions
  • Maintain thorough and timely student records, documentation, and progress reports
  • Stay current with best practices, attend meetings, and participate in professional development
