Unarmed Security Guard

The Unarmed Security Guard is responsible for maintaining the safety and security of commercial buildings through proactive monitoring and access control. Working primarily in small teams, guards conduct regular patrols and safety inspections, respond to security incidents, and interact professionally with clients. This role typically involves 8-hour shifts and requires vigilance to detect and resolve potential threats while documenting incidents accurately.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patrol monitoring of commercial buildings to deter and detect security breaches
• Control access to premises, verifying credentials and authorizing entry
• Report incidents promptly and maintain accurate documentation
• Operate surveillance equipment to monitor activities and identify suspicious behavior
• Provide first response support during security-related emergencies
• Engage professionally with clients and visitors to ensure a secure environment
• Perform safety inspections and security checks to identify risks
• Resolve conflicts effectively to maintain order and safety

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in security services

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Security Guard License
• First Aid Certification
• Physical fitness to perform patrol and emergency duties
• Strong observation skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in conflict management and report writing
• Effective communication and customer service abilities
• Basic self-defense knowledge
