Cnc Mill Machinist
Job Description
The CNC Mill Machinist is responsible for setting up, troubleshooting, and operating Haas vertical mills to produce mostly one-off parts and handle light production orders. This role requires the machinist to perform between four to eight setups daily, focusing on custom tooling retainers. Precision and quality control are ensured through the use of micrometers, calipers, tape measures, and blueprints. The machinist will work with a variety of metals including cold-rolled steel, A2 tooling steel, and aluminum fixtures.
Responsibilities- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot Haas vertical mills.
- Perform four to eight setups per day with a focus on custom tooling retainers.
- Utilize micrometers, calipers, tape measures, and blueprints for precise measurements and quality control.
- Work with diverse metals such as cold-rolled steel, A2 tooling steel, and aluminum fixtures.
- 2-3 years of experience in operating, setting up, and troubleshooting CNC mills.
- Proficiency in CNC setup and mill operations.
- Troubleshooting skills in CNC environments.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Experience with changeovers in production settings.
- Experience entering coordinates and reading M code on simple controllers.
- Preferred knowledge of SurfCAM or other programming tools.

Work EnvironmentWork in a clean, friendly, and climate-controlled job shop environment with heat and air conditioning. Enjoy flexibility with two available shifts: 1st shift from 7 am to 3 pm, Monday through Friday, and 2nd shift from 3 pm to 11 pm. Overtime is available on a voluntary basis.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $54080.00 - $64480.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
