In this full-time, onsite contract role, you’ll work closely with a group of 10 enthusiastic students in grades 3-5, supporting their growth and fostering an inclusive, engaging educational environment. The school day runs from 8:15 AM to 3:15 PM, giving you structured hours to focus on what matters most—helping students reach their full potential.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teaching certification
- Previous experience in an elementary school setting (grades 3-5 highly preferred)
- Solid understanding of IEP development, progress monitoring, and implementation
- Ability to differentiate instruction and manage diverse learning styles effectively
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
- Compassion, patience, and adaptability in supporting a variety of learning needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver tailored instructional activities appropriate for individual IEP goals
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere for 10 students
- Employ evidence-based strategies to accommodate varying abilities and needs
- Collaborate with general education staff, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
- Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and documentation
