Qualifications & Skills:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Valid Washington SLP license or eligibility for licensure
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; clinical fellows considered
  • Previous experience working with elementary-age students strongly desired
  • Knowledge of a range of speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, adaptable to a school environment
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and families

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for students with speech and language needs within the elementary school setting
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals that address each student’s unique strengths and challenges
  • Collaborate with education staff and parents to support student progress and success in the classroom
  • Monitor and document student progress, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in compliance with school and district guidelines
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team planning
  • Offer guidance and resources to parents and teachers to support students’ communication needs
