Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Consultant to provide financial and accounting expertise to support clients through periods of growth, transition, process improvement, system implementations, or staff shortages. This role will partner with management to analyze financial data, improve accounting processes, ensure compliance, and support critical accounting functions. The ideal candidate is highly adaptable, technically strong, and capable of quickly integrating into a variety of business environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
  • Analyze financial results and provide recommendations to improve reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis.
  • Lead or support special projects, including system implementations, process improvements, and internal control assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
  • Support audit preparation and coordinate requests from external auditors.
  • Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and complex financial issues.
  • Evaluate existing accounting procedures and implement best practices.
  • Assist with ERP transitions, data cleanup, and financial reporting enhancements.
  • Train and mentor accounting staff as needed.
  • Collaborate with executives, department leaders, and stakeholders to support business objectives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
  • Experience in public accounting, corporate accounting, consulting, or a combination of these areas.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Sage, Microsoft Dynamics, Intacct, or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
Pay Details: $61.00 to $95.00 per hour
