Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active Maryland SLP License required
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) required
  • Experience working in Maryland schools strongly preferred
  • Background evaluating and serving K-12 students with varied needs, including moderate to severe cases
  • Ability to travel between multiple school sites as an itinerant provider

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a dynamic caseload of spot-fill assignments across elementary, middle, and high school settings
  • Deliver direct therapy and conduct assessments for students with diverse communication disorders
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Provide specialized services to high school students in self-contained classrooms with moderate to severe needs
  • Maintain thorough, timely documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements
  • Adapt interventions and service delivery to meet the unique needs of each site and student
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to a supportive, student-focused learning culture
