Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician (1st Shift)

Job Description

Join a highly autonomous maintenance team where you will perform hands-on repair, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance on a wide range of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems in a clean, modern manufacturing facility. You will support multiple extrusion lines and value-added processes, ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain machinery, equipment, physical structures, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems across the facility.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on processing equipment, processing support equipment, utility support equipment, and facility-related machinery and equipment to reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues on extrusion lines and value-added processes such as splitting, cutting, heat sealing, and forming, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
  • Diagnose mechanical problems and repair or replace motors, pumps, pins, bearings, bushings, shafts, and other mechanical components.
  • Conduct electrical repair work, including PLC-related tasks on systems from Siemens and Rockwell, and perform basic controls troubleshooting as needed.
  • Determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts and fabricate or modify parts when required, ensuring proper fit and function.
  • Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments to ensure optimal performance and adherence to specifications.
  • Follow blueprints, specifications, diagrams, and service manuals to accurately repair and maintain equipment.
  • Repair broken parts using brazing, soldering, welding equipment, and appropriate hand tools in a safe and precise manner.
  • Prepare clear and accurate maintenance reports, documenting actions taken, irregularities, and ongoing needs using an Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system.
  • Work safely and efficiently at all times, using required personal protective equipment and safety devices and following established standard work documentation and training procedures.
  • Actively participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives, including supporting and sustaining CI, 5S, and standardized work activities.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and plant leadership to prioritize work, coordinate coverage for extended shifts, and support production goals.

Work Environment

This is a 1st shift position with core hours from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., offering some flexibility in start and end times. There is the option to work 10- or 12-hour shifts when the team has coverage, with a typical workload of 40–45 hours per week and approximately one weekend of work every two months. You will work closely with one other technician and plant leadership in a larger, clean facility with around 35 employees. The environment is laid-back yet focused on safety and reliability, with modern extrusion lines and value-added processing equipment. Appropriate personal protective equipment is required, and standard industrial attire is expected to ensure safety and comfort on the production floor

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $56160.00 - $66560.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
