Job Description
Make an impact supporting PreK-6th grade students as a full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in the New Haven, CT area. This rewarding, on-site contract opportunity gives you the chance to foster communication skills, collaborate with educational professionals, and help children reach their fullest potential in a dedicated school environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Connecticut SLPA license required
- Experience supporting PreK through 6th grade students preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork abilities
- Able to work effectively on-site in a school setting
- Familiarity with implementing speech and language goals, collaborating with SLPs and educators, and maintaining documentation
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct intervention services as outlined in student IEPs and under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Assist with screening, assessment, and progress monitoring for students with speech or language needs
- Prepare materials, document sessions, and track student progress
- Participate in team meetings and communicate regularly with teachers and other school professionals
- Foster a supportive, positive, and inclusive environment for all students
