Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Paterson, NJ

An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled and compassionate LPN/LVN seeking a contract position supporting students in a vibrant school environment. This full-time role spans the academic year, from September 4th through June 25th, offering a consistent weekday schedule of 8:15AM to 3:15PM and a total of 35 hours per week.

In this position, you will provide essential 1:1 care for a student, ensuring their well-being and contributing to a safe, inclusive educational setting. The ideal candidate will bring prior experience in school-based nursing, demonstrate adaptability within district guidelines, and show strong commitment to meeting the unique needs of their assigned caseload.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid NJ School Nursing licensure is required
• Proven experience as an LPN/LVN in school settings
• Comfortable acclimating to district routines and procedures
• Reliable transportation for daily commute
• Able to oversee student needs as well as broader health concerns within the school building
• Readiness to complete onboarding requirements, including TB test, physical, and fingerprints for both agency and district
• Ability to provide proactive, attentive care on a 1:1 basis
• Willingness to participate in a 15-minute interview process

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized nursing care to one student, following their medical and educational plans
• Collaborate with education and healthcare teams to ensure a supportive learning atmosphere
• Sustain health and safety standards across the school building as needed
• Accurately document care and updates for communication with parents and school staff
• Respond promptly to health concerns or emergencies within the school community
