Make a meaningful difference supporting students’ growth by utilizing your expertise as an Educational Diagnostician. This contract opportunity invites you to partner closely with a dedicated school system, collaborating on comprehensive assessments and interventions for K-12 learners. If you are passionate about advocacy and eager to tailor supports that empower each child, your skills are in demand.

Role Highlights:

  • Contract position running from mid-August through late May
  • 29 hours per week, perfect for those seeking balanced flexible scheduling
  • Assignments may include working with the district’s preschool evaluation team or K-12 populations, offering variety and chances to grow professionally
  • The number of school sites assigned will be determined based on district needs

What We’re Looking For:

  • Active Louisiana Department of Education Educational Diagnostician Certification
  • Experience conducting educational evaluations, interpreting results, and writing diagnostic reports for a school-aged population
  • Comfortable navigating digital platforms for documentation and, if open, able to provide assessment and support via VOCO (virtual/remote) as needed
  • Strong collaboration skills—work closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Detailed understanding of special education processes, eligibility, and service recommendations
  • Completion (or willingness to complete) district-specific credentialing, including background and fingerprinting requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive evaluations using standardized and curriculum-based assessments
  • Compile and communicate individualized educational recommendations
  • Serve on multidisciplinary teams to support equitable practice and positive outcomes
  • Maintain timely, accurate documentation aligned with state and district mandates
