Step into a dynamic contract opportunity as a full-time Occupational Therapist, supporting elementary and early childhood programs for the upcoming academic year. This engaging role begins September 1, 2026, and continues through June 3, 2027, offering a steady weekly commitment of 37.5 hours. Desired Background and Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active state OT licensure or eligibility for licensure prior to the start date
- Previous experience with pediatric, school-based, or early childhood populations is highly valued
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with students, families, and other team members
- Adaptability and creativity when designing and delivering effective interventions
Daily Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and provide therapy for elementary and early childhood students with diverse needs
- Develop individualized treatment goals, and participate actively in the IEP process
- Track student progress, maintaining thorough, organized documentation and records
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to foster students’ participation and independence in the classroom
- Adapt interventions to support fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, self-regulation, and activities of daily living
- Participate in school-wide initiatives and professional development as requested
