Job Description

This full-time contract opportunity for an experienced Behavior Specialist or ABA Therapist offers the chance to make a significant impact in a K–12 school setting near Philadelphia, PA. Work with students, staff, and administrators onsite from August 24, 2026, through June 10, 2027, as you serve as a vital resource and collaborative partner across the district. District preference is for candidates with strong ABA backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Train new staff on instructional strategies specific to students with Autism
  • Guide and support all staff in understanding and applying student behavior plans
  • Deliver refresher courses for returning staff covering updates in procedures and best practices
  • Facilitate development of Verbal Repertoires (VRs) for students
  • Model evidence-based strategies in live classroom environments
  • Assist teams with scheduling, assessments, and related start-of-year logistics
  • Lead reviews of IEPs, BIPs, and associated documentation with all building staff
  • Be visible and accessible to staff and students during the crucial opening of the school year
  • Collaborate with PaTTAN consultants to align local practices with PAI Tiered Implementation Inventory
  • Provide in-class coaching and reinforce best practices among educators
  • Help transfer skills from anchor classrooms to additional autism support rooms
  • Monitor fidelity of program implementation and deliver constructive feedback as needed

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Pennsylvania educator certification in Special Education or related field required
  • Experience supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) within school settings
  • Familiarity with evidence-based autism interventions, program implementation, and training adult learners
  • PA clearances and reliable transportation required
  • Previous urban school or district experience
  • Comfortable navigating large teams and diverse student needs
  • Able to maintain a consistent onsite schedule (no scheduling accommodations)
