Key Qualifications:
- Valid and active South Carolina Physical Therapist License
- Previous experience in K-12 settings preferred but not required
- Strong understanding of pediatric physical therapy techniques and IEP development
- Ability to adapt to multiple locations and work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver physical therapy services to students across several school sites, focusing on enhancing functional skills in accordance with IEP goals
- Conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, and document progress in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Consult with teachers, family members, and other school staff to share strategies and monitor student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide expertise for program planning
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation while traveling to multiple assigned schools
