Electromechanical Technician -- Day Shift

The Electromechanical Technician performs troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance on customer electromechanical equipment to original equipment manufacturer (OEM) standards. This role adheres strictly to safety and quality assurance policies, accurately documents all work performed, and participates in ongoing training to continuously improve technical skills. The technician operates specialized repair and testing equipment and ensures full compliance with all company policies and procedures while supporting multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere strictly to all safety policies, procedures, and best practices while performing maintenance and repair work.
  • Follow established Quality Assurance standards to ensure accurate, reliable, and repeatable repairs.
  • Troubleshoot and repair customer electromechanical equipment to OEM specifications and performance requirements.
  • Accurately document all failure observations, diagnostic steps, and repairs performed in the appropriate systems and reports.
  • Operate specialized repair, diagnostic, and testing equipment proficiently to evaluate and restore equipment functionality.
  • Interpret and work from electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and blueprints to perform repairs and assembly tasks.
  • Perform electrical and mechanical assembly, disassembly, and component replacement as required for maintenance and repair.
  • Use hand tools and appropriate equipment safely and effectively to complete service and construction-related tasks.
  • Apply knowledge of pneumatics, electronics, and industrial systems to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in industrial maintenance.
  • Minimum 2+ years of technical knowledge of industrial equipment and systems.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Hands-on experience with repair and assembly of electromechanical equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of pneumatics and basic electronics used in industrial systems.

Work Environment

The role supports industrial and manufacturing clients and involves working indoors in a shop. The team size is typically 6–10 people, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment. Standard hours are 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The dress code requires steel-toed shoes, jeans, and a work shirt, appropriate for hands-on work.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waverly, NE.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
