Job Description
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Hours: Approximately 35 hours per week, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours based on workload and business needs.
Position OverviewWe are seeking a reliable and skilled Facilities Technician to support the maintenance and upkeep of multiple facility locations throughout the Buffalo area. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in building maintenance, carpentry, drywall repair, painting, and general facility upkeep who enjoys working independently and taking pride in maintaining safe, functional, and professional environments.
The Facilities Technician will be responsible for completing maintenance work orders, performing preventative maintenance, and supporting repair and renovation projects across various sites. This position requires travel between locations and offers the opportunity to work autonomously while making a direct impact on facility operations.
Responsibilities- Perform general building maintenance and repairs for both interior and exterior facility areas.
- Complete maintenance requests and work orders in a timely and professional manner.
- Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure facilities remain safe, functional, and well-maintained.
- Perform drywall installation, repair, patching, and finishing.
- Complete painting projects, including surface preparation, touch-ups, and wall repairs.
- Perform basic carpentry work, repairs, and installations.
- Assist with general plumbing and HVAC-related maintenance tasks.
- Support facility renovation and improvement projects.
- Maintain clean and organized facility spaces, including common areas and work sites.
- Assist with outdoor facility maintenance and weather-related property upkeep when needed.
- Respond to urgent maintenance issues as they arise.
- Follow all company safety procedures and maintenance standards.
- Travel between multiple facility locations throughout the Buffalo area.
- Experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, or commercial property maintenance.
- Proficiency in drywall installation and repair.
- Painting experience, including wall preparation, patching, and finishing work.
- Basic carpentry skills and experience with building repairs.
- Knowledge of plumbing, HVAC systems, and general maintenance practices.
- Experience completing maintenance work orders and preventative maintenance tasks.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with commercial building repairs, renovations, or multi-site facilities.
- Comfortable performing janitorial and general upkeep duties when needed.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

This position is based out of Buffalo, NY, with regular travel to multiple facilities throughout the surrounding area. Work is performed both indoors and outdoors and may involve exposure to varying weather conditions. Daily tasks include the use of standard maintenance tools and equipment for drywall, painting, carpentry, plumbing, and general facility repairs. The role requires a hands-on, self-motivated individual who can work safely and professionally in occupied commercial and healthcare environments.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
