Service Technician
Automation Personnel Services is seeking an experienced Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical and electronic systems in marine and industrial environments. This position requires a self-motivated professional who can work independently and as part of a team while delivering high-quality service to customers. The ideal candidate will possess strong electrical troubleshooting skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to travel to customer sites as needed.
Pay Rate
$28-$40 per hour
Schedule and Hours
7:30am-4:30pm, Monday- Friday
Service Technician Duties and Responsibilities
  • Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair marine and industrial electrical systems and equipment.
  • Perform diagnostics and corrective maintenance on electrical, automation, and control systems.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Conduct equipment inspections and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Complete project work according to customer specifications and company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate service records, reports, and documentation.
  • Operate company vehicles in a safe and professional manner.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, management, and team members regarding project status and service needs.
  • Assist with commissioning, testing, and startup of installed systems.
Service Technician Qualifications and Requirements
  • Clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment physical examination.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of electrical experience.
  • Industrial electrical experience required.
  • Marine electrical experience preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Experience with electrical controls, wiring systems, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate service and project documentation.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move tools and equipment as required.
  • Ability to stand, bend, climb, and work in confined spaces when necessary.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites and work in marine and industrial environments.
