Job Description
The core responsibility of the Painter is to ensure all items passing through the powder coat booth are painted to a high-quality standard. The role requires adherence to values such as innovation, commitment, passion, integrity, teamwork, and relationship building.
Responsibilities
- Stand and paint all parts for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Recognize and apply various paint color extensions.
- Apply powder coat with expertise.
- Operate all functions of the Nordson paint booth efficiently.
- Adapt and perform in a fast-paced environment.
- Communicate ideas and issues promptly.
- Maintain high-quality standards.
- Work collaboratively in a team-oriented manner.
- Change paint colors swiftly in one minute and 20 seconds.
- Paint manually at a speed of 10 feet per minute.
- Maintain 5S standards in the department.
Essential Skills
- Previous powder coat experience is preferred.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Ability to read prints.
- Flexibility in work schedule, able to work 10 hours a day for a 4-6-month period.
- Dependable and reliable work schedule maintenance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High School Degree or GED is preferred.
- Prior paint prep experience is preferred.
- Experience with painting, paint prep, masking, taping, metal sanding, and using hand tools like grinders.

Work Environment
You will be working in a manufacturing environment within the metal industry, alongside 60 other employees. Safety gear such as steel toe boots and safety glasses are required to ensure a safe working environment.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
