Job Description
Step into an engaging onsite role supporting elementary students in a dedicated special education setting. This full-time contract opportunity focuses on 3rd-5th grade learners, with a manageable classroom size of just 10 students, allowing for meaningful interactions and individualized instruction. Your day will span from 8:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., providing a consistent and balanced schedule.
Key Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Special Education Teacher
- Experience working with elementary-age students, ideally in grades 3-5
- Demonstrated ability to manage and differentiate instruction for a small classroom
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff and families
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs
- Provide engaging, standards-based instruction to create meaningful educational experiences
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure student progress
