Step into a rewarding contract role supporting elementary students as a Special Education Teacher for the upcoming school year. This position covers the full academic year from August 24, 2026, through June 14, 2027, with a full-time schedule split equally between two collaborative 2nd–5th grade sites. You'll make an impact as a case manager, guiding a caseload of 25–35 students and ensuring their growth through individualized attention and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead as case manager for students, overseeing IEP development, meetings, and implementation of specialized services.
  • Deliver both inclusion/push-in settings and pull-out small group instruction, primarily focusing on reading and math intervention.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and other specialists to foster a supportive, inclusive environment.
  • Monitor student progress, collect data, and adjust interventions to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Communicate consistently with families and school teams to achieve student goals and support academic and social development.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with Massachusetts special education laws and district policies.

Qualifications:

  • Active Massachusetts Special Education Teaching Certification (required).
  • Previous experience supporting elementary students with a range of learning needs is highly valued.
  • Strong knowledge of IEP procedures, inclusion strategies, and data-driven instructional practices.
  • Excellent organization, communication, and collaboration skills.
