Hospital Pharmacist - Kilgore, Texas

Pharmacists are needed to support a 300+ bed hospital and Level III trauma center located in Kilgore, TX. This contract opportunity offers a dynamic clinical environment with exposure to a wide range of patient care scenarios in an inpatient hospital setting.

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders efficiently and accurately.
• Supervise and collaborate with pharmacy technicians to ensure optimal workflow.
• Consult with physicians and nurses to provide expert pharmaceutical care.
• Participate in pharmacokinetic dosing and adjustments.
• Assist with neonatal medication management and emergency medicine protocols.
• Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems for medication management and documentation.

Qualifications:

• Current Pharmacist license in Texas.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent inpatient or clinical pharmacy experience.
• Strong familiarity with EPIC electronic health records preferred.
• Experience in pharmacokinetic dosing is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of neonatal medications and emergency medicine is a plus.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Schedule:

• Four 10-hour day shifts per week.
• Flexible scheduling options considered, including block shifts (e.g., 8 days on, 6 days off).

This contract assignment begins ASAP with an initial duration of 13 weeks and has potential to extend or transition to part-time or temp-to-hire arrangements.
