Step into a vital speech-language pathologist opportunity serving students in a well-established school-based setting near Arvada, CO. This contract role engages you in meaningful, on-site work supporting students through the academic year, with full-time hours (35 hours weekly) from ASAP through late May 2027. You’ll help students in the Denver area develop their communication abilities, preparing them for success in and out of the classroom.

Your expertise will be called upon for an assigned caseload, most likely focused on mild to moderate needs, spanning ages birth through 21 in a school environment. Specific school assignments and caseload details will be provided before your start date.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university
  • Active Colorado Department of Education Certification
  • Current Colorado SLP license (Speech-Language Pathologist, Speech Connectionist, or Speech Therapist accepted, ages birth through 21)
  • Experience in a school setting preferred
  • Ability to complete all district-required background checks promptly

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and provide direct therapy to students with speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Collaborate closely with educators, administrators, and families to tailor support plans
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to IEPs in accordance with state and federal guidelines
  • Offer guidance and support to classroom staff for effective student interventions
  • Engage in ongoing professional development for best practice sharing and continual skill enhancement
