At Southwestern Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, we are dedicated to helping our residents achieve their highest level of independence and quality of life. We are currently seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team.
As a PTA, you will work under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide individualized treatment programs that promote mobility, restore function, and improve overall well-being. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working alongside a supportive interdisciplinary team.
What You'll DoProvide physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans based on each resident's goals and clinical needs.
Monitor resident progress and communicate changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
Accurately document treatments, patient responses, and progress in accordance with facility and regulatory guidelines.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care.
Educate residents and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, mobility techniques, and safety practices.
Help maintain a safe, clean, and positive therapy environment.
Current Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational and documentation abilities.
A compassionate, patient-focused approach to care.
Skilled nursing or long-term care experience is preferred but not required.
