Company Name: Cape Regency Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Barnstable is looking for full-time and per diem PTAs!
Up to $40 an hour with weekly pay. Higher rate for per diem. Cape Regency is a 120-bed skilled nursing facility offering short-term rehab and long-term care. The full-time schedule is on weekdays but does include an occasional 1 weekend day rotation.
Job Description:
We are hiring a per diem Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic care team! As a PTA, you will assist in the provision and collection of assessment data, direct treatment to a general rehab caseload under the direction and supervision of a Physical Therapist, and participate in clinical program development.
Education & Experience:
Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant required
Must possess an active and unencumbered Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state, or be in the process or eligible to obtain one

Duties & Responsibilities:
Under a physician’s order, provides direct resident treatments in accordance with an established plan of care
Contributes to the team meeting and decision-making process as defined by the program
Consults with and trains residents and caregivers
Monitors efficiencies on an ongoing basis in collaboration with the supervisor
Documents activities according to the company’s clinical documentation system on a timely basis
Demonstrates consistent knowledge and application of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations
Participates in clinical program development and implementation
Demonstrates the ability for continuous new learning to remain current in the field
May perform additional duties as requested by supervisor
Participates in quality improvement activities
Specific Requirements:
Ability to function effectively in multi-faceted systems and to interact effectively with all levels of staff and customers
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Standing and walking for significant amounts of time is necessary
Ability to perform documentation needs, manipulations of equipment and direct patient care
Requires intense attention and concentration
Ability to cope with periodic stress associated with changing census and staffing demands
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage time effectively for self and others
Ability to deal with a wide range of personality types, ages, and diverse cultural backgrounds
Ability to articulate and comprehend the English language
