Recreation Coordinator

Full-Time Recreation Coordinator: $25/hour

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Create and implement recreational activities and programs.

• Ensure all documentation of resident care plans, recreation participation, and progress are documented in accordance with NYS guidelines.

• Oversee coordination of transportation for residents to and from activities.

• Conduct recreational programs on assigned units and throughout the facility as designated.

Qualifications:

• Experience in long-term/short-term recreation programming.

• Knowledge of MDS/Care Planning.

• Knowledge of CMS/New York State regulations, including survey compliance.

• Strong organization and multi-tasking skills.

• A strong empathy with and commitment to helping the senior population.

• Ability to work efficiently across various departments.

• High level of creativity, artistic ability, and communication skills.

• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and variable shifts as needed.

• Experience in Music Therapy and/or proficiency in singing, piano, or guitar playing preferred.
