Job Description
The Orchards at Redford is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Occupational Therapy Assistant to join their in-house therapy team!
Pay starts at $28.00 per hour and increases based on experience.
Responsibilities
Assess patients' physical abilities and limitations through comprehensive evaluations.
Implement individualized treatment plans by supervising OT based on patient needs and goals, incorporating evidence-based practices.
Implement therapeutic exercises and modalities to improve mobility, strength, and overall function.
Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, home exercises, and self-management strategies.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and effective discharge planning.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment interventions, and outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards.
Stay updated on advancements in occupational therapy practices.
Qualifications
Associate's Degree in Occupational Therapy Assisting
Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Occupational Therapy Assistant.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to physical therapy practices.
Experience in skilled nursing settings is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with discharge planning processes to facilitate smooth transitions for patients.
Background in treating geriatric populations is a plus.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
