Rite Away Pharmacy is a licensed Texas compounding pharmacy seeking Registered Pharmacy Technicians to support our sterile and non-sterile compounding operations. Technicians in this role will prepare patient-specific medications in accordance with Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) regulations and USP compounding standards. We are hiring for both our sterile compounding suite and our non-sterile compounding lab.

Technicians in this role will prepare patient-specific medications in accordance with Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) regulations and USP compounding standards. - Sterile Compounding Technician (USP <797> environment)
- Non-Sterile Compounding Technician (USP <795> environment)
- Techs with experience in both areas are encouraged to apply — cross-training available
Sterile Compounding
- Prepare sterile preparations (IV admixtures, injectables, etc.) using aseptic technique in ISO-classified cleanrooms/hoods
- Perform proper garbing, hand hygiene, and cleanroom entry/exit procedures
- Complete required media-fill testing, gloved fingertip sampling, and competency evaluations per USP <797>
- Maintain environmental monitoring logs and cleanroom documentation
- Prepare non-sterile preparations (capsules, creams, suspensions, troches, suppositories, etc.) per USP <795>
- Accurately weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to master formulation records
- Maintain compounding logs, batch records, and beyond-use dating documentation
- Verify Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for raw materials and maintain traceability records
- Follow all TSBP compounding rules and USP <800> hazardous drug handling requirements where applicable
- Label, package, and prepare finished preparations for dispensing/shipping
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of compounding areas per SOPs
- Assist with inventory management of compounding chemicals and supplies
- Support quality assurance activities, including documentation review and equipment calibration/maintenance logs
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA
- Active Texas Pharmacy Technician Registration with TSBP (required)
- National certification (PTCB or ExCPT) preferred/required per state and employer policy
- Prior sterile and/or non-sterile compounding experience strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of USP <795>, <797>, and <800> standards
- Strong attention to detail, math/measurement accuracy, and documentation skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods, work in a controlled cleanroom environment, and wear required PPE/garbing
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively in a team environment
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Previous experience at a 503A or 503B compounding pharmacy
- Familiarity with compounding software
- Experience with hazardous drug handling and USP <800> compliance
