Compensation will be determined based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
Compensation:$35 - $50 hourly
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair supermarket refrigeration rack systems, including CO₂ and HFC systems.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on refrigeration equipment and control systems.
- Complete compressor changeouts, EEV retrofits, leak detection and repair, and troubleshoot defrost issues.
- Program, troubleshoot, and service refrigeration control systems, including Emerson E2, Danfoss, and similar systems.
- Respond to emergency service calls with urgency, professionalism, and a focus on minimizing customer downtime.
- Accurately complete service documentation and clearly communicate findings, repairs, and recommendations with customers and management.
- Identify system performance issues and recommend appropriate repairs or improvements.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior technicians as needed.
- Follow all company and industry safety procedures and help promote a safety-first work environment.
- This position is safety-sensitive.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience servicing supermarket rack refrigeration systems.
- EPA Universal Certification required.
- OSHA 10 certification highly preferred.
- Experience with CO₂ transcritical rack systems is a strong plus.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting refrigeration schematics, electrical diagrams, and wiring diagrams.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with refrigeration control systems such as Emerson E2, Danfoss, or similar platforms preferred.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record; Class E driver's license highly preferred for operation of company vehicles.
- Willingness to participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
- Ability to respond effectively to service calls and troubleshoot complex issues with minimal supervision.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team.
